1. About this policy
This policy applies to the Notifine iPhone app and this introduction and support website, operated by SHU MATSUDA (“the operator”). No Notifine account is required.
2. Information handled on your device
Notifine processes information passed by shortcuts you configure. It does not independently gain unrestricted access to other apps’ notification centers or inboxes.
- Notifications: source-app name and identifier, title, subtitle, body, receipt time, summaries, classifications, displayed text, and character replies. An explicitly supplied destination URL is used to open a notification’s link.
- With Mail catch-up enabled: sender, subject, received date, body, and other fields returned by the shortcut’s email search. This can include more text than an ordinary notification preview.
- Settings and created content: groups, rules, sounds, character personalities and conversations, selected images, history AI questions and answers, tasks, plans, expenses, notes, and saved notification excerpts.
- Connection and diagnostic records: last receipt time, processing outcomes, app identifiers, field presence and character counts, and error information without personal content.
This content is used on your device for notification presentation, rules, search, AI processing, retries, and Organize. The app does not supply notification or email text, history, or character conversations to RevenueCat or advertising SDKs.
3. AI processing and Apple features
In-app classification, extraction, history AI, and character features use Apple’s on-device models. Notifine does not currently offer its own AI server or send this content to external generative AI APIs.
Apple system features used through Shortcuts, such as Summarize Text, operate under Apple’s specifications, your device settings, and Apple’s privacy terms. These system services are distinct from processing performed inside Notifine. AI can be inaccurate; review original content and supporting evidence.
4. Access you choose to allow
- Notifications: reposted notifications, sounds, badges, and Mail catch-up check notifications. Displayed content may also be retained by iOS Notification Center.
- Photos: an image you select is read and stored locally as a character avatar. The app does not collect your entire photo library.
- Calendar and Reminders: with your selection and OS permission, the app can create or update plans and tasks. Syncing by connected accounts follows Apple’s or the relevant provider’s settings.
- Device authentication: app lock uses OS authentication. The operator does not receive Face ID biometric data.
- Shortcuts: you control source apps, email search scope, and initial sharing permissions in Shortcuts and iOS settings.
5. Connections to external services
Apple
App search sends entered search terms, region, and language information to Apple’s search service and retrieves app metadata and icons. These requests do not contain notification text. Apple handles in-app payments; the operator does not receive payment card numbers.
RevenueCat: purchase management
Purchase history, product and transaction details, subscription status, an anonymous app user ID, and necessary technical information are processed through RevenueCat to verify and restore Pro, manage access, and understand subscription activity. Notifine does not set your name or email as customer attributes and does not send notification or conversation content. Purchase records are managed separately from local app data.
Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform: ads and consent
Google SDKs support ads in the free version, measurement, fraud prevention, and consent management. Depending on configuration and consent, they may process IP addresses and approximate region inferred from them, device or app identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, performance, and diagnostic information. Notifine does not attach notification text or history to ad requests. Consent notices and privacy choices are shown where required. Pro hides in-app ad placements.
Support email and this website
Email addresses and information you submit in support requests are used to respond and investigate issues. This website does not install its own advertising or analytics scripts or tracking cookies. The hosting provider may process IP addresses, browser information, and access logs for delivery and security.
External services may process information outside your country or region. Relevant service information is available here:
6. Retention and deletion
- Notification history is optional. The timeline retains the latest 500 ordinary entries; favorites may remain beyond that count. Individual entries and the list can be deleted.
- Disabling notification history deletes its entries and favorites. Explicitly saved Organize entries, notes, and excerpts are independent and must be deleted separately.
- Legacy conversion history, connection information, and retry records are retained within their respective settings and limits.
- Local app storage uses iOS file protection. Primary saved data is excluded from backup. Notifine does not provide its own cloud sync; reinstalling or changing devices can result in data loss.
- Deleting the app normally removes its app data under iOS. Offloading an app is different and can retain documents and data.
- Items already created in external calendars or Reminders and transaction records handled by Apple or RevenueCat are not removed merely by deleting the app or local history. Canceling a subscription is also a separate action.
Support correspondence and information processed by external services may be retained for the period needed to provide the service or meet legal and transaction-record obligations.
7. Your settings and rights
You can change history saving, AI, automatic organization, reflection to external apps, and automatic Mail checks in settings. Review notification, photo, calendar, and other permissions in iPhone Settings. Where ad privacy options are available, use the relevant control inside the app.
Contact us below to discuss access, correction, deletion, or other rights under applicable law. The operator cannot remotely read or delete notifications and history stored only on your device. We may need limited additional information to locate purchase-management records.
8. Security
Notifine uses iOS file protection, OS permission controls, and encrypted connections to external services. No device, transmission, or third-party service can be guaranteed absolutely secure. Lock Screen, preview, Focus, and Apple Watch settings also affect visibility. Test your actual settings when handling sensitive content.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update the date on this page when features or data practices change. Material changes will be communicated in the app or another appropriate way when necessary.
