Support
Connect your apps, customize delivery, set up Mail catch-up, and manage your subscription.
Getting started
Automatic notification forwarding requires iOS 27 or later and a configured shortcut. AI features require an Apple Intelligence-compatible device, supported language, and ready models. Check availability inside the app.
- Allow Notifine notifications
In iPhone Settings, allow notifications for Notifine. Enable Lock Screen presentation if you want to see them while locked.
- Add the shared shortcut
Use the connection guide in Notifine to add the bundled “Notifine 5” shortcut. Keep its name: it also handles opening the source app.
- Select source apps
Choose the apps in the shortcut’s notification trigger and enable it. If options for immediate execution and running while locked appear, configure them as directed. Review and grant initial access requests.
- Set up a group
Register the same apps in a Notifine group and choose rules, characters, and sounds. Adding an app to a group does not change the shortcut’s trigger selection.
- Test with a new notification
Receive a fresh notification from another device. Keep original notifications visible for this first test, then check your usual lock and Focus settings.
Notification appearance
Where do I choose text, icons, and a character?
Open Groups → the relevant group → Notification appearance. Choose a source-app, character, or Notifine icon and configure text visibility and conversion. Changes on this screen save automatically. Other editors, such as rule editing, may require Save.
Can a notification open the exact original message?
The shared shortcut normally opens the source app. It cannot recover the original notification’s private destination. An explicitly supplied, valid destination URL can be opened when available.
Why is there a small Notifine badge on the icon?
Source-app and character images use iOS communication notification presentation. iOS controls the small Notifine badge and the number of collapsed lines; these cannot be fully customized.
Why is a notification missing or showing original text?
- Check whether the source app itself produced a fresh notification.
- Check the shortcut’s selected apps, enabled state, and execution permissions. Avoid leaving several old versions enabled; follow the in-app update guide.
- Check the group’s apps, rules, and character, as well as iPhone notification and Focus settings.
- If AI or summarization is unavailable, a fallback can be delivered to avoid losing the notification. A later retry may run, but its timing depends on iOS.
Will important notifications always make sound during Focus?
No. Notifine’s priority and sound settings also depend on allowing Notifine or Time Sensitive Notifications in your Focus settings. This does not forcibly override the silent switch.
Apple Mail catch-up
If forwarding from Apple Mail misses messages, use the in-app Mail catch-up guide to add “Notifine Mail Catchup.” It is an optional path alongside the shared “Notifine 5” shortcut.
- Open the guide after adding Apple Mail to a group, from Notifications, or from Settings.
- Follow the guide to configure the search scope, received-date filter, and trigger. Grant initial Mail access and enable automatic checks when needed.
- Notifine attempts to avoid duplicates when the regular and catch-up paths receive the same email. Perfect deduplication across all message formats is not guaranteed.
- Catch-up handles a message’s subject, sender, received date, and body. It can retrieve more text than a notification preview, but shortcut results and storage limits mean the complete body is not always retained.
- Once automatic checks are configured, you do not need to run each check manually. Execution depends on iOS and permissions. Exact intervals, instant delivery, and recovery of every message are not guaranteed.
AI, history & Organize
What is the difference between Find, Ask, and Summarize?
Find locates relevant notifications. Ask answers a question using notifications as evidence. Summarize extracts key points from your selected scope. Narrowing dates, apps, or groups makes the results easier to review.
What if an answer, task, plan, or expense is wrong?
AI output is a suggestion. Dates, amounts, and intent can be misread. Review the summary, supporting notification, and original text when needed, then edit or delete the suggestion. Organize and history AI are features in development. Review the behavior before enabling automatic reflection to an external app.
How do I stop saving or delete history?
Use the history-saving controls in the app. Disabling notification history removes its entries and favorites. ToDos, plans, expenses, and their saved excerpts are separate records and must be deleted separately. Items already sent to an external calendar or Reminders also remain in those apps.
Purchases & restoration
Monthly and yearly plans are auto-renewing subscriptions with the same Pro features. Review the actual price and period in the app and Apple’s purchase confirmation before subscribing.
I purchased Pro, but it is not active.
Check that you are signed into the Apple Account used for the purchase, then choose Restore Purchases on Notifine’s Pro screen. Reopen the app with an internet connection. If the issue remains, contact us with the purchase and restoration details.
How do I cancel or request a refund?
Manage your subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refund requests are handled through Apple.
Will my data disappear when Pro ends?
Saved groups, rules, and characters are not deleted. You can choose which items to use within the free limits. If a protected rule is no longer available, Notifine may use a generic notification to avoid unintentionally revealing the original text.
